Damon Braces Weybridge

During your first appointment, the first step is to discuss your unique dental concerns, so we can ascertain if Damon Braces are the right appliance for you. We will collate relevant diagnostic information by taking photographs and x-rays, as well as dental impressions, allowing us to understand the anatomy of your smile so we can design and create a brace that’s suited to you.

Following this, we will fit your braces and ask to see you every 4-6 weeks, allowing us to track your progress and adjust the braces. Treatment will take between 9 – 24 months, after which we will give you a retainer to wear, which keeps your teeth from shifting back into their old position.

At your second appointment, we will fit the braces. Unlike other fixed braces, the Damon System treatment uses a passive slide mechanism to maintain the arch wires within the bracket, allowing them to move more freely. This reduces friction so that teeth can move more quickly and comfortably.

Both braces work in exactly the same way when correcting your teeth. However, the Damon Clear system is a more discreet version of its metal counterpart, employing the use of clear brackets and ties, so the presence of the brace remains subtle when you open your mouth.
